Beginning Spoon Woodcarving with Tacy Cummings

Take home a gorgeous kitchen utensil and learn traditional carving techniques in this wood carving class. This beginner-friendly class will begin with safety techniques and an overview of different tools used to carve. Students will be led in the carving of the bowl of the spoon, then design and whittle the top and handle. Once a final design has been reached, students will sand and finish their spoons in a natural oil. The fee for this class is $20, with scholarships available.
