Fabric Squares with Beth Bakkum

In this class, we’ll use hand sewing as a way to slow down and connect with the creative process. You’ll create small fabric collages with simple stitches, guided by your intuition and creativity. There’s just one rule: no editing! No previous sewing experience is required. Join us for an evening of tactile exploration and leave with a 4"x4" work of art crafted entirely by hand.

Class is capped at 15 participants. Registration is required. Ages 12 and older.

Beth Bakkum Bio:

Midway through my career as a coach and corporate trainer, I discovered that a creative thread from my early life had been missing. This realization set me on a new path, leading me to explore and embrace creativity and art-making over the past two decades. I began with visual journaling and have since delved into binding artist books that combine painting, collage, and hand sewing. My artistic process is intuitive and often delightfully messy, focusing on enhancing mental well-being through creative expression. Recently, I've been channeling my experience into creativity coaching, helping others uncover their own paths to artistic discovery. I find immense fulfillment in guiding individuals as they tap into their creative potential, enriching both their lives and mine.
