Intro to Spinning Wool on a Drop Spindle

Discover the traditional craft of hand-spinning wool with a drop spindle. In this hands on class, you’ll begin by making your own drop spindle, then learn the basics of preparing and spinning wool, including drafting, adding twist, spinning, and plying.

You’ll leave with the skills to continue practicing at home, along with your handmade spindle and spun yarn.

No prior spinning experience is required. All materials are provided.
