Meet & Greet: Artist in Residence Beth Bakkum!

Creston Arts welcomes Artist in Residence Beth Bakkum. Please join us for a Meet and Greet 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, September 14 at Creston Arts Center. Light refreshments will be provided at this free event. Bakkum will also be teaching a free Fabric Squares workshop 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 26 at the Creston Arts Center. Beth Bakkum Bio:

Midway through my career as a coach and corporate trainer, I discovered that a creative thread from my early life had been missing. This realization set me on a new path, leading me to explore and embrace creativity and art-making over the past two decades. I began with visual journaling and have since delved into binding artist books that combine painting, collage, and hand sewing. My artistic process is intuitive and often delightfully messy, focusing on enhancing mental well-being through creative expression. Recently, I've been channeling my experience into creativity coaching, helping others uncover their own paths to artistic discovery. I find immense fulfillment in guiding individuals as they tap into their creative potential, enriching both their lives and mine.
