About the event

Have a cherished piece of clothing or textile with a hole, stain, or tear? Don’t toss it - transform it! Join us for “Visible Mending” - a hands-on workshop where we’ll explore creative techniques to restore and reinforce your beloved items.

This workshop celebrates the art of visible mending, turning flaws into features and wear into wearable art. Whether it’s a sweater, a scarf, or a sentimental fabric, you’ll learn to make repairs that highlight, rather than hide, the story behind the piece. Bring a textile you’d like to mend or use the fabric and threads provided to practice a variety of mending techniques. Together, we’ll stitch with intention, giving new life to old treasures. No prior experience is necessary - just bring your creativity and a willingness to make something uniquely yours!

Instructors Beth Bakkum and Sandy Maxa

Class is capped at 15 participants. Online registration is required. All ages. A parent or guardian must accompany youth under 12 years of age. $10 per person.
