CHALK WITH US (NEW DATE)

After 10 years of Chalk the Town, we are making slight changes to the program, while still keeping the best parts: Chalk, Art, and Community. Several factors including time, safety, and comfort played into the changes.

We still want to beautify the Uptown for visitors!

Businesses, and now individuals, will still be welcome to join us and support this event by sponsoring a chalk mural, however, all of the murals will be along the Walk of Chalk, located on the north side of the 400 block of Adams St., near the Creston Arts Center. (The sponsors of each mural will be identified and sent a picture of their mural. They will also be identified on our social media.) We will have tents, water, music, (sunscreen, gloves, hats, pads…) lunch, and enjoy each other's company. Maybe make some new friends.

Want to do your own thing?

Down the side of the Arts Center on Division is shaded in the morning, and a great place to come and make your mark. We will have spaces marked off for individuals or families. Bring the kids!

Still giving out free Chalk!

We usually give out 250 packages of chalk to kids in Creston, per year, thanks to a partnership with the Creston Chamber! You can come by the Creston Arts Center or the Creston Chamber to get free chalk for kids!

To volunteer, please meet at the Creston Arts Center on Friday, September 20th between 9:00 am and 4:00 PM.
