Serving Platter Ceramics Workshop with Kelly Devitt

Join us for a special two-part ceramics workshop led by Kelly Devitt, Creston-based ceramic artist and one of five Iowa Arts Council's 2025–26 Iowa Artist Fellows. Known for her sculptural work exploring human emotion through the body, Kelly brings a thoughtful, expressive approach to clay and a welcoming teaching style shaped by her role as an art instructor at Southwestern Community College.

Over two evenings, participants will design, hand-build, and glaze their own custom serving platter:

• Session 1: Friday, December 12 — Build your platter

• Session 2: Friday, December 19 — Glaze and finish your piece

• Time: 5 to 8 p.m.

• Location: Creston Arts

• No experience needed; all supplies included.

• This workshop is sponsored by Iowa Arts Council. Participants are encouraged to "Pay what you want" with 100% of the fee going toward Creston Arts.
