July 3rd, 2024. CRESTON, IA - Paint the Park - Supporting Iowa’s Natural Treasures with Art & Music brings international award-winning songwriter and accomplished painter Chad Elliott to Green Valley State Park 7 p.m. Aug. 1.
“I’m a fan of Iowa’s landscape,” said Elliott, “It’s a part of me. I can’t wait to visit Iowa’s parks to create art inspired by them. It’s a small way for me to support Iowa’s natural spaces and I’m eager to get started.”
Elliot’s performance at Green Valley State Park - sponsored by Creston Arts and High Lakes Outdoor Alliance - is a part of Elliott’s Paint the Park Series. Before the live concert, Elliott will be creating a painting of the park. The public is encouraged to watch Elliott’s art process while he is painting. This is a great opportunity to have Green Valley State Park preserved via art and an excellent live music event for the community.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. and will last until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 1st.
The event is located at the Green Valley State Park Beach, 1370 130th St., Creston, IA, 50801, near the main boat ramp. The event is FREE and open to the public. Free parking is available on the concrete lot next to the performance area. This is a family-friendly event. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

Songwriting Short Bio: Midwest singer-songwriter Chad Elliott blends folk roots, swampy blues, and soulful writing to deliver music that is unmistakably original.
