ree

September 27, 2025. CRESTON, IA - Creston Arts partners with the Creston Historic Preservation Commission for a new exhibit at the Creston Arts Depot Gallery.

Creston Arts and the Creston Historic Preservation Commission have partnered for a special reception and guest talk by Jane Briley, Saturday, October 18, at 10 a.m. at the Creston Arts Gallery (located within the Restored Depot at 116 W. Adams St). Jane will share updates on the commission’s work toward Uptown’s historic designation and explain why protecting Creston’s architectural heritage matters for future generations.

Alongside the conversation, visitors can view an exhibition of artwork by Iowa artists inspired by Creston’s historic buildings and landscapes. Those interested in showing their art can do so by emailing info@crestonarts.org.

The exhibit will be open to the public in October. Gallery admission is free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The gallery is closed on weekends.
