WEARY RAMBLERS TO PERFORM LIVE AT RAINBOW PARK

July 12th, 2025. CRESTON, IA -  Creston Arts is thrilled to welcome Iowa-based folk duo the Weary Ramblers to Rainbow Park 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 28th in Rainbow Park.


This award‑winning pair — Chad Elliott and Kathryn Severing Fox — have quickly gained attention through their tight harmonies and evocative storytelling rooted in Iowa’s landscapes.


This free, family-friendly concert is sponsored by Iowa State Savings Bank.


The event is FREE and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring their chairs and blankets for seating for this performance. Rainbow Park is located at 500 S. Vine St., Creston. Free-will donations are encouraged at the event. Food truck vendors are encouraged to apply for a permit through the City of Creston.


About the Weary Ramblers:


The Weary Ramblers have quickly gained national recognition, winning Best Group/Duo in the 21st Annual International Acoustic Music Awards and reaching the semi-finals in the 2024 International Songwriting Competition. They’re 2025 Josie Music Awards nominees for Duo of the Year (Americana), Song of the Year, and Performance-Based Music Video. Their debut album topped the Roots Music Report’s Contemporary Folk Album chart for seven weeks and landed at #22 on the year-end list, with a #54 ranking on the overall Folk Albums chart. Their single “Pretty Lights of Denver” hit #1 on the Contemporary Folk, Folk, and Iowa Song charts, alongside “Sweet Hazel Green” and “Medicine Creek,” both of which charted in the top ten.
